What is an Indigenous Health Check?
The Indigenous Health Check, also known as the 715 Health Check, is an annual comprehensive health assessment available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of all ages. It focuses on early detection, prevention, and management of common health conditions. This ensures holistic care that addresses both physical and mental well-being. This health check may help identify risks for chronic diseases, assess lifestyle factors, and connect individuals with ongoing care and support services as needed.

The Indigenous Health Check (715 Health Check) is fully covered by Medicare, meaning there are no out-of-pocket expenses for eligible patients. This allows everyone in the Indigenous community to access this vital healthcare service without financial burden. At Narangba Station Health Centre, we offer bulk billing for this service.

What To Expect?
Physical Health
This includes an overall assessment of your physical health, including checking vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and weight.
Lifestyle Factors
Together we’ll discuss and assess your lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, and smoking habits. This will help to give a thorough and holistic insight into your overall health.
Medical Tests
If needed, your doctor will order any necessary tests to assess your risk for chronic diseases. This may include, for example, bloody tests.
Mental Health
As part of your health assessment, your doctor will discuss mental health and emotional well-being, offering support if needed.

To make an appointment, please call reception or use our online booking system via the button below. You can also visit our contact page to see further details about our location and directions.
Bookings are available from as early as 7AM on weekdays and Saturday. We are also open Sunday afternoon and late evening on Tuesday and Thursday until 8:30PM.
Can’t find us? – We are situated across the road from Narangba Train Station next to the Narangba Village shopping complex. Look for signs for Narangba Health Centre and IGA.
