Pre-Employment & Occupational Health Assessements
Starting a new job, changing roles or applying for insurance may require a medical assessment. At Narangba Station Health Centre, we provide pre-employment, employment and insurance medicals for local workers, employers and job seekers.
Your assessment is tailored to the requirements of your employer or insurer and may include a review of your medical history, blood pressure, vision, general physical health and other role-specific checks. In addition, our on-site pathology can provide blood tests and further testing such as drug and alcohol screening, audiometry, spirometry, ECG, vaccinations, pathology and X-rays are also available.
We’re open 7 days a week, with same-day appointments available subject to availability and extended hours until 8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. To book your medical, please bring any forms or supporting documents provided by your employer or insurer. Book online or call reception on (07) 3521 5523.

Pre-employment medical requirements can vary depending on the role, industry and employer. Our assessments are designed to make the process straightforward, with standard health checks completed in one appointment and additional testing available where required. Whether you need a basic pre-employment medical or a more detailed assessment with services such as drug and alcohol testing, audiometry, spirometry or pathology, our team can tailor the appointment to your employer’s requirements.
What's Included?

Typically, pre-employment medical examinations will check your overall wellbeing including:

Fees & Medicare
For both new and existing patients, standard pre-employment medicals start from $180 (inc GST) excluding any additional tests or treatment room fees required by your employer. The total cost of your medical may vary depending on your employers requirements.

Medicare Rebates:
All workplace medical assessments are privately billed. Please note that there is no Medicare rebate for this consultation. We recommend that you retain a copy of receipt and, if the cost incurred is classed as a business expense, you may be able to claim with your tax return.
What to bring?
To help your appointment run smoothly, please bring:
- All required medical forms.
- Your current driver licence or photo ID.
- Glasses or contact lenses if you use them.
- Hearing aids if you normally wear them.
- A list of your current medications.
- Any relevant medical reports or results.
No Printer?
If you do not have access to a printer or have issues with downloading the forms, please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment and our reception team will be able to provide you with a copy to complete.

Bookings are available from as early as 7AM on weekdays and Saturday. We are also open Sunday mornings, plus late on Monday and Wednesday evenings until 8:00PM.
